Same clothes different baby...continued

We are so glad S is doing much better today with his bowel movements. Hooray for suppositories! I have been taking more pictures of K and I have wanted to post them alongside pictures of S wearing the same clothes. It is just so amazing to me that K can't do any of the things that S could do in the same outfits. K is just a big solid lump, but a cute one!

Here is K....

Here is S at around 7 months

Here is K with S

Here is S in Dec of last year visting his grandparents favorite bear at this furniture store

Here they are looking cute in their church clothes just before nap time!

I have more pictures I could show, but I will save some more for another day. :0)

Valentines

These are my three sweet valentines! We had such a nice day together. In the biggest loser update, I take the lead with 9 lbs while A came in with 8 lbs this week. We were both pleasantly suprised as we indulged in some major valentine's weekend pig-out treats! Hopefully our progress will continue this week too. (If I am ever not talking about our wellness plan...you can guess things aren't going too well)

In S and K news, we had to move K down to the bottom of his pack and play. That bassinet level was starting to give way and make a lot of creaking sounds as he slept in it. So in my attempts to make it more snuggly I added blanket curtains all around it and a cool mobile made out of our old swiffer! He is doing okay in there so far. He is still in our office/3rd bedroom. We are not ready to move S to a big bed yet and they aren't ready to share a room due to conflicting sleeping schedules. Here are the results:

I think it looks pretty cozy since he can't have the crib yet! In S news, we could not go to playgroup today due to his lack of bowel movements since Sat. or Sun. I am so bad I can't even remember. He has always just gone every other day anyway and we ran out of our daily dose of prunes so he has been more backed up then usual. He was not even walking this morning it was so bad. Poor little guy! It is all my fault too, I had all the same sad problems as a kid. He is napping now and even after all my efforts prunes, prune juice, warm bath, water, he has still NOT gone! Yikes! I've talked to an advice nurse and it looks like I need to get some laxitives or suppositories for him. Sad! Hopefully things will get better soon! (Sorry if this is too much information but I am really getting worried here)

Visit with some of the sibs

Two of my sisters were over for dinner and a visit this week. We all got to meet one of my sister's new boyfriends. We had a good time. It is sad...they all live so close and I hardly get to see them. Life is just too busy! K is sporting his new Red Sox hat from his aunt!

Same clothes...4 months apart!

I've been wanting to post pictures of S and K in the same clothes for awhile now...so here it goes.

Here is S at around 8 months

Here is K at 4 1/2 months in the same cute outfit!

Here are some pictures of both of them. These are pretty good considering S usually doesn't like K too close to him!

Biggest Loser

So A, my sweet hubbie, and I have been trying to lose weight as part of our wellness plan for the whole year. We have mapped out our weigh in days until Jan of 2010. So far so good, we have each lost 6 lbs! The hard part though, at least for me, is to really stick to the plan. I am chewing gum a lot to help me through my bad snacking habits. How did we even get to this point? It came on so gradually and now we are both at unhealthy weights.

Here is a cute picture from the "before" days. Ironically we are seated in front of a nice big volcano at Rainforest Cafe the night before our wedding. So here is a hope that a year from now we both might look like this before picture!

K is 4 months

Well today we went to the doctors for K's 4 month apt. Here are his latest stats: he weighs 18 lbs 8 oz and he is 25 inches long. In comparison to S at this same age, S weighed 14 lbs 7 oz and he was 23 inches long. Big difference in the weight! K is wearing all the clothes S wore at 6-8 months from last winter. It works out for me though because they are off a season so it helps that K is growing fast enough to use all those bigger clothes.

Some things that K is doing now is laughing and squealing quite loudly (always when S has gone down for a nap or is going to bed :0), he is also eating rice cereal once a day at night with a little fruit mixed in, he is holding some toys, trying so hard to roll over (I think his weight is holding him back), trying to sit up, takes 2-3 pretty good naps a day with one of those naps being 3-4 hours long, and he is sleeping about 7-8 hours at night. One of my favorite things about him is that when he is tired I can just lay him down and he will calm himself down then he just whimpers when he is ready to fall asleep and I flip him onto his stomach and he is out. This is so much different then with S because at this age I just started letting S cry it out to sleep but K has a much sweeter little style that works for him and is still letting him become an independent sleeper. (yes I have a stomach sleeper and I do feel guilty but it works so well for him so I keep doing it)
