Someone wants to be the star!

So we have been trying to get K's laughter on video, but as soon as we start rolling he is too fascinated by the camera to keep making noise or this happens...

Floor time fun!

So here is our news..the boys have been sick and I have been discouraged in my weight loss. Only 11 lbs. total to date. A is doing much better at 13 lbs. And I KNOW I really shouldn't compare myself with him because men will lose much faster than women, but I am just sad to not see the numbers moving that much when I am trying sooooooooo hard. I am eating right and excercising regularly. I can only hope that as long as I keep doing everything right a change will take place eventually.

We did have some really nice spring weather on Friday and Sat. this past week. We went to playgrounds both days and had a great time! S gets so excited, he claps and says "Yay!" as soon as we pull into a playground parking lot. K got to try out the swings for the first time and he is a fan! The only bad part is when we had to leave both times...S threw a big fit of crying and screaming "Nooooooo!" and he fought us the whole time as we buckled him in the car. This is normal toddler behavior right? :0) He is fine once we get moving and the car. I guess we really need to give him more advance notice about when we are leaving a place to help him cope with leaving a fun place. Well I did not have my camera for our outdoor fun, but the fun continued indoors on the floor with both boys. S really loves to play with K now and we couldn't be happier!

Saint Patrick's Day and Playgroup Party

Happy Saint Patrick's Day...a few days late. We had a nice day all in green (that's about as festive as it gets) It was fun and we took some cute pictures (notice my new short haircut, which looks a lot better) I love the one of both of them smiling but K isn't looking at the camera, he was looking at me, but at least we got the smile! I think our whole family has such great smiles and it is hard to capture K's smiles at this age. He has such a sweet laugh...I will have to post a video soon. He is really such a good baby and we are just so happy to have him in our family.

Today we had a playgroup party for S and two of his friends that turned 2 this week from church. It was so great of them to include S since he doesn't turn 2 until April 3. He had a blast! The theme was cars, trucks, trains, and airplanes. We played pin the wheels on the bus, had cupcakes, sang the wheels on the bus, played with cars, trains, tracks, trucks, ect., colored pictures, and had train peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. It was so fun for all the kids and S got some presents even though it wasn't a present party (that was so nice of his friends) S loved the happy birthday song! He also was so smart with the pin the wheels on the bus. He didn't watch the other kids do it, but when I gave him a paper wheel and told him to put it on the bus, he got it in the right place! What a proud moment for me as his mother! It was something small, but I am always amazed that even though S doesn't say too much, he is definately paying attention to the way things work.

Right after putting the wheel in the right spot on the bus! So cute!

They also had balloons which all the kids loved! It was a great party! Thanks good friends! :0)

Disney Reminiscing

In my hopes for warm weather and for spring...I decided to post some videos and pictures from our wonderful trip to Disney World last March. It was so wonderful to spend time with my siblings, father, husband, and little S who was 11 months. The not so wonderful thing was having morning sickness (really should be called all day sickness) as I was 2 months pregnant with K. S loved all the characters, which we were told is not usually the case with babies. I am so glad we have these great pictures and videos of him because it will probably be a long time before he gets to go back! Well, wonderful fam...this post is for you to enjoy reminiscing about our great trip last year!

This is S with his friend that used to live near us. We miss them!

Kogen love

We are so excited to finally get some pictures of S holding K on his lap. S is showing more love and interest in his little brother. He now calls him Kogen...we have progressed from his previous name of Koggie (pronounced like doggie with a K) He now seems to notice when K is napping and makes sure we take him with us when we are going places. It is very cute and sweet! We are also excited that in the last week S seems to like to use the words he has said at least once before. It is great to think we are finally making some leaps in his language skills.

Happy K

One of my favorite things that happens to babies is when they begin to wake up happy and not sad with lots of crying. I love listening to their happy squeals and talking sounds before I go in to get them. K has finally just started to be happy upon waking instead of crying for food. This video shows some of the cute squeals he now loves to make.

Birthday bash!

My birthday just passed on the 28th and I had such a great time! On Friday we got to go out to dinner and a movie for a much needed and appreciated date night together! A good friend from our old ward came over with her daughter to watch the two boys. I am so glad they were so well behaved for them. On Sat. we had our annual triple birthday celebration for myself and two of my sisters who have birthdays this same week. It was fun to spend time with my mom and siblings. I am glad that everyone had a chance to hold little K (I should say big K) and it was so nice for S to go outside and play with the older boys (his little uncles). I can't wait until we have a yard for him. Someday :0) Here are some pictures from my mom's house:

Here is my sister who we like to call "crazy eyes" because she doesn't like to squint like the rest of us in pictures:

Here I am trying not to squint...I think I definately have "crazy eyes" I will stick to squinting! I never thought we looked like each other until I tried to smile like her!
